The first of doubtless many hustings of the Labour leadership candidates – this time on Newsnight. Poor, all of them. How disappointing. The Miliband brothers both looked wooden; most looked over made-up, Balls seemed unsure of his lines… and there is that awkward look when they can’t work out whether they are speaking to the people in the room or people watching tv through the camera. And they became very undisciplined at the end.
