An interesting few days in the Tour, with several crashes in the first few stages. The Guardian has some fairly gruesome images here. Mark Cavendish won his first stage today; and Geraint Thomas remains in second place and in the white jersey for best young rider. The key names for the overall classification remain pretty close together. The weekend in the mountains should be good; although there is another sprint tomorrow which Cavendish will surely be looking to win.
