boy starsWhile looking for the source of a Rosa Luxembourg quote Foucault mentions, I found this translation of the first lecture of Du gouvernement des vivants (January 9th 1980). The publication of the official translation has been delayed until September, so for those with no French, this gives a decent indication – with all the caveats the translator provides – of how Foucault sets up the course to follow. Broadly speaking the next three lectures discuss Oedipus; the remainder of the course early Christianity.
