Last time I wanted to give you an initial insight into the meaning of the question – what happens beyond the pleasure principle? My great friend Jean Hyppolite, who isn’t here today because he is in Germany, told me he had read Beyond the Pleasure Principle again. I think he is at least as busy as most of you.
