I gave my seminar on The Birth of Territory at the University of Tasmania today. Seemed to go well, with a good audience and interesting questions.

The second event was a panel discussion with Jeff Malpas and Godfrey Baldacchino, chaired by Elaine Stratford on ‘Islands, Places, Territories’. After the historical lecture on territory I gave at lunchtime, this was a more conceptual and political discussion. I’d not met Godfrey before today, but know Jeff and Elaine well from my previous visit and other meetings.

Jeff and I were then on Annie Warburton’s show on ABC Hobart radio, talking about philosophy, territory and the war in Libya in the evening. A full, but interesting day.
