Commentary on Nigeria

I remain unimpressed by most Western coverage of Nigeria. This ‘Comment is Free’ piece by Remi Adekoya in The Guardian is, however, worth a look.

Another Leibniz – audio and slides

I’ve put the audio recording of my AAG talk on Leibniz together with the powerpoint slides, and uploaded it to youtube. I had to re-record the first minute as the recording of that was incomplete, so apologies for the transition there. Hope it is of interest to some.

The George Story Lecture in Humanities

I’ve been invited to give the George M. Story Lecture in Humanities at Memorial University, Newfoundland in Winter 2013. The lecture series is named after George Morley Story, and though I can’t find a list of previous lecturers, I do know Martha Nussbaum gave the first of these (story here). Many thanks for the committe for selecting me, and Peter Gratton for the nomination. Not sure of the date or topic as yet…
